All of the best performers on the planet get help, support and advice.

Why?

You can watch where you hit the ball but you cannot see yourself swing.

You don’t get a medal for doing this on your own.

I’ve yet to meet a successful gym owner that has not hired a coach for their business. 

Today and tomorrow I’ll be in full day meetings with my CEO Mastermind.

These are 10 of the top gym owners in the country and they all have just sent me their 30 page document that they fill out before each meeting.

Our last meeting was literally right before we were all forced to shut down and they left that meeting with a very clear plan in place. 

We never imagined a pandemic and a recession would come roaring like it did…but that is the situation they all faced.

Here’s a bit of advice.

You cannot control when your state governor will decide to open.

You cannot control clients losing their job.

You cannot control one of your trainers leaving because they will make more money on unemployment. 

You cannot control if your PPP money will come through.

The only advice I have is to focus on what you can control.

You can control getting your business to cash neutral.

You can control getting on the phone with every client that decides to cancel.

You can control relentlessly following up with every past client you ever had. 

You can control only keeping the staff members that are A-players.

You can control if you manage your mindset through exercise, mediation and gratitude.

It makes no sense to waste time and energy on what you cannot control. 

It makes all the sense in the world to focus on what you can. 

Tomorrow we will NOT be spending time debating on if states should be open or not or complaining about the current situation. 

We WILL be spending time crafting solutions to get them where they are today, to where they want to be by our next meeting in 3 months.
