Podcast Episode 46: How to Clear Your Mind

January 30, 2025 · 1 min read

Business owners are always thinking, whether it be about the next hire, the next marketing program, the next money making opportunity--finding ways to clear your head can be difficult.

Here are Vince's favorite ways to clear his head:

- Get Outside and Walk.  It's the one form of exercise that lowers cortisol levels. Cortisol manages our stress levels. Submersing yourself in nature can release stress and focus your thoughts.

- Mind sweep. Write down everything in you head.  Your brain is not meant to be a vault of information that just sits there.  Bullet point what's going on inside your head.  It's not a to-do list. It's meant to clear your mind of "head trash". Once you've cleared some of the trash in your head, you'll get clearer and more focused on what you need to do.

- Dedicated practice to be alone with your thoughts. Time to reflect, practice gratitude, using a meditation app like headspace, breathing techniques.

- Sometimes you need a break and get away. You can't always be on-site, especially when you're stressed. Take some time off, it's not running away or hiding, it's talking a self-care break to make sure you're giving your business the best of you.
